Israel's Boundaries

Jay's recent article post about "Israel Praying for Failure" brought up a point of discussion that I don't believe we have addressed yet. The article discussed the hard-liners/nationalists/anti-compromise group/pro-settlement faction or whatever name you give them, and their view that Israel should not concede land that was part of "Biblical Israel".
So here's the question: Does this view have any merit? Should Israel give up land to the Palestinians? Or should Israel strive to keep the land that it had in biblical times and from 1967 up until about 1994? Where should the boundaries of Israel be?
