Sick of the Media
by Simon
If you watched the debates Saturday night, you might have noticed that among the democrats, Bill Richardson had the most to say, and also might have, like me, come to the conclusion that he was the winner of the debate. I would at least say it was between him and Obama with respect to delivery, mental agility and substance.
Why then did all of the NBC sunday morning politics programs ignore him? Why do these programs talk issues when we're not in election season, and then in election season completely disregard substance to talk exclusively about demeanor and poll numbers? I would be happy with Hillary or Obama, but I think Richardson has been unfairly ignored. Not picked on, but ignored. It's one thing for Joe and Josephine Shmoe to gravitate toward the more well known and prettier candidates. But I think it's deplorable that the analysts only compared the "front runners." After all, there were only four of them on stage.
