#1 The left thinks Israel should respond like Gandhi - but those tactics only work when the opposing society has a conscience. And when the "opposing society" has no conscience, then what happens? We both believe that radical Islam has no conscience, but what about the radical left?

Carlos, you have been "slammed" for saying that because it is true. Truth is anathema in contemporary radical politics. Haven't you noticed?
The truth cannot conform to a jihadist or a Marxist/radical left agenda and must therefore be smothered. And in this nation, in a presidential election year, who are the radical left? Those, who when challenged by opposing views, will swiftly move to silence and smother dissent--often via judicial mandate and other non-democratic means. And usually they are far from Judeo-Christian traditions, being secularist-'social progressives.' But whether home-grown or of the European variety, they remain what they have always been: ideologues, oligarchs, appeasers. And they are poised at the very pinnacle of political power here in our own country. Putin believes in force. Just because we don't share his values doesn't mean he's going to see the light. (Imagine a President Barack Obama pitted against Putin - the Left's new messiah would be gobbled up in one bite.) And spit out in TWO. Yes, just IMAGINE that! |
